19 of Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player won his maiden trophy for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a torrid period, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
His varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
This marks the player's initial title after the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface since March of 2023.
The win also indicates he has won twenty-one victories at twenty-one different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is particularly special," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child her name, because the first title I won when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his skill to compete at the top level was finished.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete positively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the last five points to take the lead.
Both players traded break points in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his first tour championship, seized the initiative to force a decider.
Moutet saved 4 early-game chances in a close deciding set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the win with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
